Surf City

With 4.5 km of beach, from the dike of the Barre to the cliff of Cap St. Martin, there are ten surf spots along the Anglet coastline. Separated by small rocky spikes that fix the sandy bottoms and protect them from the wind, the waves make the most beautiful tubes of the Basque Coast. Some of these beach breaks are among the most famous in Europe. On each beach you will easily find schools, surf shops to kit you out, and some bars that live and breathe the surfer culture for post-session meet-ups.

To get started safely, it is recommended to get in touch with the surf schools in Anglet. They are set up from April to October across the entire Anglet coast.
